PELE

Of all of the worlds goddesses, PELE is one of the few still living in the belief of her people.  She is the red-robed woman dancing on the rims of the fiery mountains.  She is the Hawaiian volcano goddess and she built the islands for her people.

PELE is the embodiment of a woman's ability to balance on the edge of chaos and come out enlivened rather than consumed.  She is the fiery nature that allows us to meet life's challenges without cringing.  She reminds us to use our energy to create rather than destroy - although sometimes one must destroy the old in order to build the new...
